Prayer for Haiti

“And He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor;” Is.59:16

Today we will have a “prayer blog” for the nation of Haiti. The passage above indicates that God expects that His people will be intercessors and be able to stand in the gap for the nations of the world. He has given us authority in the place of prayer, this means that when we pray things happen. James 5:16 says “…the earnest prayer of a righteous man has great power and wonderful results (The Living Bible).

During one of the rescue operations in Haiti, a young child that had been buried under the rubble for about seven days was saved alive and well. On the news one of the onlookers said “Somebody up there (pointing to the sky) must love this child”. I believe it was only the finger of God through the prayers of the saints that wrought this great miracle. Therefore as we pray let us have faith and expect wonderful results to follow.

Let us also remember to send donations to provide aid to the people of this nation so that they will know that indeed God can turn their situation around.

Our Father we give you the glory for your faithfulness. Thank you for the opportunity to stand in the gap for the nation of Haiti. Your word says you make all things beautiful. You are the only one that can intervene in the situation this country is in at the moment and make something beautiful come out of it.

We pray for wisdom for all the agencies both international as well as local, involved in the distribution of aid in the country. We come against the spirit of confusion the devil has tried to use to disrupt this process. We pray for more miraculous survival cases and for divine ability for those involved in the rescue operations. We ask you to send Your Spirit of comfort to bereaved families. We ask for divine skill for the medical professionals helping these people.

Lastly we pray that the children of God in Haiti - the Church of Christ, will be strengthened from above to shine for you in the midst of the darkness around them.

In Jesus mighty name. Amen

Over the next few days, I shall begin to post messages on this blog, messages I am believing God will minister to you and your loved ones. Messages that will enrich your life. When you read these messages, I encourage you to respond with questions about any aspects of the messages that you don't quite understand or want more guidance on.

By the special grace of God we shall discuss the word of God on this blog in a manner that will empower you spiritually and make you not only fulfilled on earth, but also rapturable in the eyes of the Almighty God.
